Bihar: A meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party was held at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After the meeting, the candidate for the by-election to the Rajya Sabha was announced. The Bharatiya Janata Party has made Manan Kumar Mishra its candidate for Bihar.

By-elections are to be held on 10 Rajya Sabha seats in seven states of the country. The last date for nomination for the election is 21 August. In such a situation, now at the last moment, the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its candidates. After the party meeting at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the final seal has been put on this name. The Bharatiya Janata Party has released the list of candidates and has made Manan Kumar Mishra its candidate for Bihar. Out of the two vacant seats on which Rajya Sabha elections are to be held here, the name of Upendra Kushwaha has already been announced on one seat.

Manan Kumar Mishra is originally from Gopalganj district. He has been the President of the Bar Council of India and currently practices in the Supreme Court. The names of former minister and former Bhojpur MP RK Singh and RK Sinha’s son Rituraj Sinha were in the race for Rajya Sabha. But, after the meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, a new name of Manan Kumar Mishra came up. Now the final seal has been put on the name of Manan Kumar Mishra.
